What is mold?
MOLD IS PART OF THE FUNGI FAMILY, IT EXISTS EVERYWHERE IN NATURE AND IS ALWAYS IN THE AIR. THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF MOLDS, BUT EVERY ONE OF THEM REQUIRES MOISTURE TO GROW. MOLD LOVES ORGANIC MATERIAL AND CAN GROW ON WOOD, DRYWALL, FABRICS, CARPET, CARDBOARD AND WALLPAPER. WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO ELIMINATE ALL MOLD SPORES BUT WE CAN KEEP MOLD FROM GROWING IN OUR HOUSES, AS SOMETIMES IT DOES. SMALL AREAS OF MOLD CAN BE CONTROLLED BY THE HOMEOWNER, ALTHOUGH, PROFESSIONALS SHOULD BE USED IN AREAS LARGER THAN A FEW SQUARE FEET.
